BITE

Bite tells the story of Danka an 18 year old Polish-born girl living in London with her ‘estranged’ British father whom she hasn’t lived with since she was six. Her father - a former professional footballer- is now haunted by the memory of the fatal car crash that took away his left leg and the life of his Polish born wife; Danka’s mother.
Colin Simmons is an alcoholic, a manic-depressive often abusive and resentful of his young daughter. Despite the care and affection Danka shows towards her ailing father, his only love appears to be for his big black snarling Alsatian dog, named Bite, whom she is rightfully fearful of.
Tired of being verbally and physically abused by her drunken father and forbidden by him to ever see her Chinese boyfriend again, she sets out on a course of revenge.
One day, while her drunken father snoozes, she lures the Alsatian dog to a piece of meat laced with rat poison. Over dinner later that night, her father chomps away heartily on the dark meat congratulating his daughter on her cooking skills and enquiring after the whereabouts of his beloved dog, Bite.
