Brixton ‘hip-hopper’ becomes the hunted prey after romancing the daughter of a bible thumping puritanical farmer.
Things go horribly wrong for South London brothers Byron and Winston together with their ‘shady’ next door neighbour Denny who decide to swap the city for the Norfolk countryside for a few days, one summer. Upon arrival Byron is first to encounter the shotgun toting, Old Testament Bible preaching clan of the Spooner family.
Patriarch, Eli Spooner leads an austere farming life deep in the rural fens along with his two strapping sons Martin, Tom; and his beautiful but traumatised 18 year old daughter, Bess.

As the days pass, young Byron and Bess are careful (so they think) to keep their forbidden liaison a secret, but just as their fragile relationship begins to burgeon events beyond their control take a dramatic turn for the worst. With tensions already running high in the County following a confrontation between environmentalists and a multi-national ‘fracking’ Company, all ‘Outsiders’ are being viewed with suspicion and actively shunned by the villagers.
One fateful night, following the callous attack and sexual assault on Bess by a stranger in the car park of a village pub, the Londoners become prime suspects.
Eli and his farmhand sons seek retribution and before long the trio of ‘townies’ are being pursued across the barren landscape, like hunted prey. After the ensuing manhunt results in the death of Eli’s youngest son, the father vows to avenge his kin by slaughtering the perpetrators that very night.
The vengeful Eli Spooner and his remaining son set out to restore ‘family honour’ and pretty soon Byron finds himself the target, alone and fleeing for his life across the bleak, inhospitable Fenlands, in search of his twin brother.
In the story’s concluding moments, in the tensest of standoffs, Eli Spooner is but the thickness of a knife’s blade from slitting-open Byron’s throat, right there and then - while in the foreground we see Bess Spooner – her fingers twitching nervously on a hair trigger, facing off her lover and her father down the barrel of a shotgun...
Finally, she is forced to make the hardest decision of her life.....BOOM!
